Hey guys, I've had a problem ever since i installed my mp3 spoiler, it weighs down the trunk, and now when i use my latch from inside the car, the trunk is too heavy to open with that latch/switch whatever u call it. What should i do so that the trunk opens up when i pull that latch?

 

Find a truck spring or strut from a MP3 or Mazdaspeed. Dont ask me where to get that but look around you might find something.

 

actually Protege trunks use counterweights, not springs or a hydraulic strut.....you can get 'em from the dealer...not sure about a part#
