Broke my shift lever last night. Crappy-*** weld only lasted two weeks. Unacceptable. Protege's inop until this weekend when I can swap the stocker back in and hopefully affect a reinforcement for the broken lever.

I had the machine shop at work weld an extension into an MSP shifter. It was free, I got what I paid for.

No worries, version 2.0 will rock. In addition to making it stronger, I'll sustantially increase the mass of the lever for buttery shifting smoothness.

Probably not .. I maybe could do it alone but it would be a big pain in the ***. Plus it would take me way too long.

Instead I think I'm gonna have my brother give me a helping hand, cuz he's a very pro-turbo kinda guy. He's owned 3 different AWD Talon/Eclipses over the years so he's quite familiar with this kind of install. It helps to have someone around that knows all the little tid bits about the topic .. but he's got a very short temper and spazzes the hell out about everything so that's gonna suck!!

I'll take lots of pics .. might even do a how-to on it if I get around to it.
