he's not near the border at all

Edmonton is one of the only more 'known' towns in Canada that isn't very close though.

I'd totally stay in Canada doing the drive.. it would be a beautiful journey.

If I ever go cross continent, it'll be in Canada

I'm at least a 5 to 6 hour drive south to get to the US border in Montana. An with the great lakes to navigate around driving eastbound to Toronto, it would most likely add about 10 hours or more to go the US route.

To get to Toronto from here, I'd just hop on the trans-Canada highway (yes it's actually called that) and drive east.

Besides, the way border control is now, it would be such a pain to have to drive through the US.

I've crossed the border every weekend for the past 5.. it's easy as cake.

... for an american

The lines of canadians coming into the states in the morning.. CRAAAAAAAZY long lines. Seriously talking 4-5 hour or longer wait time, even though there are three crossings within 30km of eachother in the Niagara/Buffalo region.

Masses of Canadians capitalizing on the weak American dollar, no doubt.

Or maybe the usual number of Canadians, we're just making extra certain none are terrorists.

Oh, no. My cynical politico-economic side is coming out!

^^^ That's because all Canadians are liberal hippy socialists.
They obviously need to find out which ones are smuggling a truck full of weed, and which ones are planning to 'stick it to the man, man'.
>: (

It's crazy how security has gotten for Canadians to get into the US. It's like homeland security thinks that for some reason we're a threat now. Even though since 9/11, all Canadians have been doing is eating moosemeat and making maple syrup snowcones.

Canadians rock. When our next administration rolls in, I'll finally be able to say we rock, too. It's been a long time.

Exactly, so why all the extra border security? Seriously, how many terrorists come from Canada?

The US still rocks, it's just your leaders that most have problems with, haha.
