haha i like the one on the back

amsgator December-7th-2007 08:47 PM

you would be amazed at how many ppl the back one pisses off. especially mustang drivers and stuff who drive slow. i think thats what cause the tacoma (not trd) driver to race me the other day. some how i won. no clue how, his was stick as well

Hyperion December-9th-2007 03:48 PM

everyones so quiet this weekend.
was in the parking garage at the airport going up the really tight circular ramps that connect the levels, since my sirius cant get signal through concrete it was really quiet, except for a squeal coming from the front. gonna get it checked out this week. Dont need anything breaking on my thousand mile drive, I've had enough bad luck on my trips.

I got new springs, new tires, new cv joints, finally cleaned the EGR valves, and installed my new JVC CD player. Hopefully i can get the headers and the exhaust soon. O yea i heard that if u get headers and exhaust that its better to put the headers on first than the exhaust. Is that true?? And why if it is true??

_Kansei_ December-10th-2007 12:21 PM

It really makes no difference. In terms of installation procedure if you are replacing ALL of your exhaust it is best to start the isntall at the head and work your way back bolting sections on to make sure the fitment is good all the way back.

00protegeracer December-10th-2007 01:54 PM

o ok, thanks cuz the guy at the exhaust place told me to put the headers on first than go get the exhaust done but thats probably cuz they dont install headers there. ok so i already have my headers and have been waiting to get enough $ to get the exhaust but if i want to i could just put the headers on with the stock exhaust??

njaremka December-10th-2007 02:03 PM

yup

00protegeracer December-10th-2007 02:32 PM

in that case ill post on this thread again tomorrow when i finally get my dusty ass obx headers put on

00protegeracer December-11th-2007 03:58 PM

picked up the proto a day later than expected from the mechanic, WOW, the lowering springs really made a difference and the clean EGR valves make the biggest difference in the world. ill post some pics of my low pro tomorrow....hopefully

00protegeracer December-11th-2007 03:59 PM

YAY smooth idle, finally. going for a drive, hopefully i can add to the race stories tomorrow

EDIT: i say it was a 250, it may have been a 150 but it was lifted so I thought it was a 250. I'm not sure. I never had to look at the butt of his truck ;)

00protegeracer December-12th-2007 11:05 AM
