hey fellas, didnt even realize there was a protege enthusiast group until someone on CEG (contour enthusiast group) brought it to my attention. anyways, i drive a 2002 black MP5. its a just a lease but i figure while i still have it, i could join the forums here. welcome to the board.. hope to see you around here more often. i'm new, too.. just got my p5 last week.. and so far, so good.. it becomes more fun to drive every time i get into it.

 

welcome to the boards all of you, and thats definately one fat contour you have there, what all has been done to it? whats it got engine wise? and is it a stick?

 

it comes with a 2.5L duratech V6...stock is 170hp. as far as engine mods go, ive added the svt extrude honed upper intake manifold, throttle body, svt exhaust minus the rez, sho shop y pipe, polished aluminum intake pipe, and KKM filter. its got of the svt aesthetic stuff as well, along with molded front fascia. and of course its a stick! the mp5 is a 5 spd as well. by the end of the summer a lincoln ls or a jag x type 3.0L duratech will be going in along with a HMS bulldog box tranny. Street Flight is in the works with a turbo as of right now...still waiting for that to be developed.

i was readin a bit about the duratech v6 on probetalk, some guys were puttin the 3liter in a probe....kinda cool...... but im workin on buying a really nice white 1996 Ford Probe GT (5speed of course) with leather and about every other option available.
