Tires and Brakes questions.

Thanks for the info gimly and all of you.
Finally my brakes are installed. Now I know why the rear worn out faster than the front. The rear pads are much smaller than front ones.
I got TOYO Proxes PTP tires from www.oktire.com. I think they have better grip on wet roads than the stock ones. They are also covered by 100KM limited warranty.

Initially I wanted the Kumho 712, but then I realized that they are summer tires.
One last question your all of you Protege owners.
Is wheel alignment a must have service?
I have never done any wheel alignment since I bought the car (over two
years now).
Wouldn't it be a waste of money to have it done, considering I live in the area with holes, bumps and uneven roads. It will always screw the alignment every single day I drive the car.
I know poor mileage, awkward tire wear, car pulls to left or right, and vibration (just to name a few) will be the result of poor alignment.
Anything else worse than these could happen to my car if I did not have alignment. This is a dumb question....:-)

Sorry to hear your roads are so poor. It's a shame with your car to have this. As long as you don't have the shaking, pulling, etc., I wouldn't worrry about an alignment. Might want to consider balancing your tires though and trying your best to avoid those damn holes in the road.

If you are driving on roads as bad as that I would get it checked anyway. They check all the parts as a routine before an alignment and it would be good to know that nothing is wearing abnormally. Plus if I am shelling out money for new tires I want to make sure the alignment is correct.
