Slowtege

I was talking to a friend of mine today and he wants to sell his Protege to get faster car.

So do I, but I'm not. I am in college so I am broke ALL the freaking time. I got a P5 cause they look nice and are big enough to keep stuff in but small enough to park easily. When I graduate I am going to either take my S10 off blocks (It's kinda rusty but I have put a rebuilt tranny on. It barks on ALL 4 gears!!) or buy a Buick Grand National. My muscle car isn't going to have A/C or power stearing or any of that luxury crap.. So I'll NEED my P5. Be patient. You can have your fast car some day, but the Protege isn't going to be the base for one.. Ever.

I wouldn't say the Protege will never be the base for a fast car.

The BPT is capable of some sick horsepower if built up, and swaps into a first gen pretty easily.

More money than it would be worth, but still would be a fast car.

Unless you have a balance of speed, comfort, and a quality feel....hang on to your P5 and get used to the upkeep of 2 cars. That's what I did for awhile when I had my 95 DX and my '92 modded Mustang GT (it's for sale).

But I got sick of the upkeep of 2 cars and my muscle car was an awesome speed rush but when it came down to it, I was driving my Protege 80mph all the time just like my 'Stang. It just took a little longer to get there. But the Protege was a quality smooth ride unlike the brutal in your face ride of the Stang which after you get used to speed, you realize there's really not much else there.

That's why I'm selling it and traded in my '95 Pro for an new ES. The ES has more power than the '95, can go 80mph with ease, and it's just a fun, awesome handling built car and I have a better time driving it than I do my Stang or my former '00 Z28.

Exactly, but I still want a GN. You can't go "AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!" while buring out the rear tires listening to the turbo hiss and people going "What the HELL is that?" like you can in a P5.
