So when you put the wife and kids in it does it scrape the ground?

Doesn't slamming make the car handle bad and ride like ****? I see so many slammed cars on the highway and they can't go over 55mph because they are bouncing their teeth out of their heads and the camber is so far off it looks silly

i have a little neg camber, I lowered it using good coilovers, so I do bounce sometimes over rough bumps, but with only 4.5 inches to the ground, i dont expect much suspension.

you know, ive just made up my mind, P5 it is.

but seriously, i dont really need the extra room, but the aftermarket is definatly there for the 5, and it look sooooooo good.

no dis on the sedan drivers, i like those too but still, its gotta be the sport wagon for me.

thanks for all the posts.

If you don't replace the shocks with ones built to handle the higher spring rates of lowering springs, it will hurt the handling and ride comfort, and doing both will reduce ride comfort but improve handling. How much of both of those will depend on the choice of components.

good choice, well either one is a good choice, but good choice in getting the P5 as your car. Now comes the hard part, what color do you want it in?

P5 all the way since, as fraay says, it does not look like 80% of the cars out there. It is different and it is more than a wagon. It looks great!!!

Actually I think many of the sedans these days look like most of the others. However, there must be something different about the Protege sedan since you still turn your head and say, now there is a nice looking car!!! But not as nice as the P5

I have an opinion on the P5. The ground effects on it is mainly the reason anyone buys the thing. I'm out.

I agree. Not just because your car as the same as mine in package and color,
on order (2003).
Great pics. My mouth is watering for it to arrive.
The only external mods I want to is the optional front spoiler.

Althoughm cheers to the P5 crowd. You attracted many of us this way in the
first place.
All of our cars are the 91-94 SE-R of the 2000s. (selling my 93 within
the month ) Sleeper greats, although ours could use a little help in the acceleration dept. but the handling....... stellar

color?

well ive thought about that one for a long long time and decided that no matter what i buy my next car will be black. that is unless the car i get isnt offered in black, but the P5 is so no quams there.

all i really wanna do is find some way to get around 120-135 at the wheels with mods, and then just make the car look clean, gunmetal rims, dark tint in the back lights and reflective tint in the widows, then add various eye candy like a body kit, eyebrows and such.

and prolly TEIN suspension.

Remember to get a good alarm/remote starter to protect your investment...the stock alarm (from everyone elses post) are not up to par.

true that...

know of a good brand?

i had a viper on my last car but it was pretty basic so i dont really have an opinion of quality.

i never really considered getting one from mazda. i remember i went or tryed to go on a test drive a while back but all the cars that were manual had the perimeter alarm, and i guess they had just sat at the docks too long or sumthin, but none of em would start, wouldnt even turn over, all their batteries had been sucked dry presumably becuase of the constant beeping from the alarms. its was pretty crazy, they asked me to come back the next day (it was late when i was there) and even then i had to go to the gas station with the salesman because the one i was demo-ing was out of gas lol.
