Review: Luminics Bulbs

For a while now I've been wanting to get new bulbs for my headlights and foglights but knew that if i spent $30-50 on a pair of bulbs the "wifey to be" would probably kill me. So I was searching around and came across these Luminics Bulbs. I had never heard of them before and figured why not try them. I decided to go with the "Ultra White" for my low beams and the "JDM Yellow" for the foglights. I purchased both pairs for a little over $50 which was around what i wanted to pay.

I was kinda disappointed with the Ultra White bulbs seeing as they weren't very white. I think they have more of a blueish/purplish tint to them. If the Ultra Whites are this tinted I can only imagine what the Ultra Violet bulbs they offer look like. I would say I prefer the look of the Silverstars I had on my previous Protege but I don't think the Silverstars are worth the $10 more dollars I would have to pay for them.
As far as them lighting up the road I can't really say for sure seeing as I haven't had the chance to really test them on dark back roads or in inclement weather. Right now I would have to say that they're maybe a little better than stock but I'll be sure to update once I get the chance to do so.

As far as the JDM Yellow bulbs I couldn't be any happier with them. The color is exactly what I was looking for and were definately worth the money. I can't wait to test them out in the rain or fog.

Sorry about the crappy pictures. My picture taking skills are the suck. Hopefully they give you a good enough idea of what they look like. Take my word for it... they look pretty badass in person and overall I would say I am pretty pleased with my purchase.

Subscribing for further review!
I have this feeling my low-beams are gonna go soon; nearly two years of a lot of driving with the headlights on...I'll assume for now those yellow bulbs won't fit the sedan fogs...
anyone know for sure?

This looks interesting to get once I get my circle fogsand I could use an upgrade on the headlight bulbs. But do they lok blueish durin' the day when they're not on? I hate that.

has anyone tried colored vinyl overlays like bluebatmobile's? i wonder if yellow overlays would be less efficient than yellow bulbs. i had purchased all-weather h3 bulbs and while they perform as advertised, they werent the toyota/lexus yellow i was looking for. i was gonna try the yellow luminics bulbs next.

See that's just it...I would love to get that Lexus yellow....that is sexy. I think I'll swap out my headlight bulbs when I go down to Miami...I might come across some goodies at the Swap Shop (the largest flea market in the world)...I want some HIDs still though, but will settle for a nice bright set of purple headlights and the yellow fogs. Has anyone tried a HID fog mod??

Hey Matt any updates on the bulbs.
I just ordered a set and found them to be 100w. 55 is recomended for us.
Did they melt your headlight harness yet or horribly discolor the headlight housing, like what all the guys at msprotege claim would happen.

Hope everythings good.

I recently put in a Sylvania SilverStar[tm] bulb in. It is noticably brighter - only $24 each.
