Rev. limiter?
Hi guys. I got a E-spec protege MP5? -01 with the 2.0L 131Hp engine. My rev. limiter is set to 6600rpm. Is this the same in the states?
not on my 03 manual ive gone in the red can say anything for a automatic though
well my 1.8L is at about 6750RPM (redline starts at 6500)
i wish it could go more, but really whats the point, my berst shifting points are right at redline i heard.... and i think its a little before red for the 2.0L i heard.... this was way back in the day that soemone said this tho |
My friend with an MP3 says his is limited at 7200 RPM.
I think the engine pulls strong when it goes in. I have had lots of gen1 protege and really apratiate the 7800 rpm limiter. To get good acceleration on those car you have to shift on 7500+ on first gear ( preferly 7700-7800 ).
What engine does MP3 have? |
the rev limiter on north american 2.0 L P5's is 7200 rpm. although your tach may show a little more or less....that is the nominal setting.
MP3's got the 2.0.
thanks! Then its like the FD3s. its 700rpm lower on the E-spec model then on the US-spec. Anyone who has a US ecu for sale?
