Sorry to hear about your car. I live in New Jersey, near Philly. This is my second Protege. My first was a 91 DX and I put 180,000 miles on it. It was never garaged and it was used everyday for 8 years. The only things I had to replace (besides tires, battery etc.) were the catalytic converter, alternator and front axels. I even had the original clutch and shoocks. Also, no rust and the paint looked great. My new one has 4000 miles and not a thing is wrong. It is a great car, you definetly cgot a bad one.

Great news

Well thanks to all for your support and some for not (I guess) It seems as though Pa. lemon law statutes criteria for determining a claim is A) Three times in for the same problem or
B) Having been without your car for 30 days or more
Thanks for the heads up guys as to where to look, It turns out I qualify in both cases. Seems foolish of the dealer and the manufacturer to quabble over such a small amount of money ($ 800.00) only to have to eat the whole deal. But good luck to all who have one of these. Any one know anything about Volksbuggies new TDI powerplant regarding reliability, Drove one yesterday and its not too bad. 49 mpg highway 92 or 95 hp Cant remember, all the zoom w'out the gloom and doom.

Bahahahahahhahahahaha Who ever told you that could probably sell you the Eifel tower as well.

BTW: I'm sorry to hear that you have aquired a lemon. It's happened to me as well....but with a motorcycle. A little more life threatning.....thats one of the reasons I have a Pro5.
