P5 - front marker light

So, my front marker light went out on the car (I noticed it a few days ago) and since it was "warm" today I decided to replace it. I got at the connector just fine and it turns out the bulb was not blown, but the interior of the connector is corroded beyond repair.

Now, I used to have to replace these for the same reason on my old Chevy once every 18 months or so and am hoping not to have to do that on this car.

Here is the dumb quesion... would this be covered under warranty? I'm gonna go in to the dealer and act dumb and then get anoyed with them if they want to charge me... but I also want to know if it would be reasonable to expect a part like that to be covered.

thanks,
-JJB

When you say it's corroded, is it from the weather? It all depends on what caused the failure to determine if it's covered or not.

In looking a bit more at it, it looks like there is a physical crack in the connector that let water into the body of the part. Seeing as this is not something that would have been normal wear and tear I think that I am going to push them to fix it for free
