Hey guys an gals has anyone seen or used the gt spec carbon fiber wing on there mazda speed or protege if so how did it look and did it make a big difference in the air flow.

I dont have that specific wing but i got a new wing on my protege, i think it looks awsome personally, and its dark like carbon fiber, and its on a white sedan, I'll try to post pics. It kinda runs flush with the sharper angles of the trunk or somethign cause it kinda looks like it should be there, at least thats what i've been told.

Still...pics are always helpful (for me anyway). I'm more of a "visual" person.

tonight ill probably get my friend to take some pics of my car, it just underwent a few changes including a custom cat-back and some windshield banner im not fully sure why i put it on lol i gues the shop seemed cool enough. Ill be sure to have the wing up in a day or two max

thats cool man hope to see them soon, have you thought about any suspention up grades if you do check out Gt -Spec the best i have seen let me no when you get the pics up.

You should have bought springs first! But sense you didn't , do it. It will really make it look better.

yah i plan on getting springs by the end of next week, but now with my new muffler on im afraid itll hit a speed bump no matter how slow over it i go..i had to get the huge one =/

why a spoiler that large for fwd car?

Dude try the wings west spoiler its a lot cooler( this protege aint mine)

I found some carbon fiber trunk for hte protege so im gonna buy that and i think im gonna get a carbon fiber evo wing instead and sell mine.

I kinda like the West Wings Spoiler - don't know why :evilgrin:

I think its awsome, it adds a nice flow to the back end of hte protege, Id just rather have something different for a protege, I wish i could get a carbon fiber MSP wing, not the mp3 one but that other one on the 03.5 MSP thats probably one of my alltiem favorite spoilers, for any car..but it wont look good on a carbon fiber trunk, unless its carbon fiber too =(

the wing from wings west is cool but i like the look of the gt spec one better

Thanks Roddimus, Shadow is my favorite sonic character its also the theme im going with my car.... Black with red accents inside and out.

A)i need pics of the gt spec wing B) shadow is cool, he looks awsome as hyper shadow C) why dont you try getting a custom vinyl with shadow on it unless thats too ricey for ur tastes, im still looking for a decent picture of link from zelda cause i kinda wanna do that on white since my colors are gonna be green and white as much as possible on my car, dunno yet tho.

Nahh i like the carbon fiber trunk from vis that just came out, it saves weight thats about it.

well first off i would need to repair the holes in my trunk since im changing wings so that would just be wasted money that i could put toward a trunk that im yet to see anyone in phoenix has on any car, mm individual lolol

you'd be unique for a while then everybody will get the C/F trunk lid.

thats why im painting my car black before i get the C/F parts that way its hard to tell if theyre carbon or not. I like stealth speed

im stayin white, so i can clash colors real bad...and oh yah im too cheap to paint my car im more focused on cheap cosmetics and my turbo kit lol

I just dont like my dark green plus like i said earlier im takin the Shadow theme to my car Black with red accents inside and out.

since u arnt going to put shadow ouside on black why not get red racing seats and put a pic like the one in ur avatar into the racing seats, like have its stitched in.

if your out for handling, im sure weight loss would be great. IMO, having a 50/50 ratio is better than losing maybe 15 lbs. if you get the hood only, and keep the OEM trunk, you would be closer to 50/50. i believe stock pros are 54/46 or something... and if i remember correctly, getting mattys SC would also help you lose some front end weight!


but im just ranting here
