Nothing to worry about. As y'all have already figured out, it's just rust on the rotors. The degree of it depends on the humidity that day too. Don't try to fix anything(like putting squeak spray on it), they'll clean themselves off after a couple of stops.
The worst I ever had it was when I parked overnight at the beach when it was cold, humid and windy. It was stuck solid when I first started to roll and then it really sounded horrible, crunch crunch crunch... but it cleared pretty quickly.

on the note of washing cars, what are some of the products do you guys use?
I use mothers cars wash and mothers protectants for the tires.
