Ok so it happened again! I decided to wash the car yesterday since it was a holiday. I got it started and washed the car then when I was finished I moved it to dry it off. When I was done, I started the car and it started to sputter. I basically left the engine runnin' for about 30mins hoping that it would come back to normal. But it didn't and I got frustrated and turned off the ignition and went upstairs. However when I came back down to run the car, this was about 2 hours after, it started fine and was running just fine.

I have to go back by the diagnostics guy and hear what he has to say and hopefully he'd be able to fix the darn problem!

CLUE! It might be moisture getting into a connector. Check each connector you can find. Look for corrosion. Dry them out with Contact Cleaner.

Especially check the MAF connector and wiring.

Well I don't think it's moisture because last time the mechanic greased all the connectors with a special grease so that no moisture would even get into them!

i thought pretty much ever car ever made had a type of solenoid.

Do you mean that there's no need to grease the connectors? What's solenoid? Because when I got a diagnostics check on the car, that came up. Some solenoid check I think. But the word solenoid was there in the diagnostics check.

what does this have to do with the price of rice ????

Yes, DiElectric lithium grease is used for connectors.

If there was already corrosion on a conector - just greasing it wouldn;t fix it. But if it had been a moisture problem - this would have.

LOL! We in Trini usually say "What does have to do with the price of flour?"

So if there is corrosion on a connector and just greasin' it wouldn't fix it how would i know which connector is corroded? And I guess I'd have to change the connector? In order to fix the problem? Because the car is still runnin' like crap! Not all the time though, but just sometimes and I mean it's like a dead horse.

I'll be in first mashin' down all and ain't goin' nowhere, same with 2nd and 3rd and 4th! I haven't changed to 5th when that happens but I suppose it will drive in 5th as well but just as crappy.
