neither is standard for a P5 I thought...

the 5 speed is stock or standard, and the regular auto and sport auto are both options, at least they used to be. They are essentially the same box, one allows you to shift with the + and - things (the sport auto), and the other is just a regular 4 speed auto. I think all 3 boxes are still available...

i just went to mazdausa.com and it wouldn't let me build a auto without the sportomatic.

You will love your suspension, unless you have a bad back of course. Tackle those twisties!

My favorite thing about it is the steering/suspension feel. Very light, very quick, like an old Italian car. The driving position is also dead-on perfect (at least for me; I'm 6 feet tall). Big trunk, good looks, good-sounding engine, etc, etc, etc.
You won't regret it.

if you get a stick you can teach your family to drive stick! :)

styling is great!

I love that you don't see the roads flooded with P5's, that they look very nice and that they handle very well.
