Heated washer jets?
 

Anyone know where to get aftermarket heated washer jets?

My P5's jet freeze up frequently at low temps and I can't see jack!

I wouldn't mind heating the mirrors too. My Jetta has both heated and I never have prob's with ice.

If you use a high quality de-icer, and purge your system of the old crud that's in there, shouldn't be problem. After all, you don't see the washing liquid frozen in the resevoir, right? Even in cold ass Michigan, never had a problem with mine. I tend to go through a gallon every week and a half here during the nastiest of the winter months. All kinds of salt, mud, crud, etc kicked up by the trucks in front of you. Any Michigander who drives to work on the freeway knows exactly what I am talking about.

How could the roads be any worse than the lunar surface we have here? Man, you are going to have to post a photo!

You guys both gotta stop by Iowa sometime and check out the crap I have to put with over here. We have pot holes the size of a crater, my friend went over one in his Talon, and it fell in so deep that it scratched the crap out of his OZ rim. He complained to the city hall and they fixed the road, plus they reimbursed him for the damage on the rim. I drove all the way to NY this last month, and none of the states I went through could even come close to comparing to the crap I have to put with every day... All in all, it's safe to assume a lot of states need to invest in some better roads...

louisiana being the main one.. yall havent seen pot holes until you come down here.. our roads actually flex, and sometimes buckle and blow up from the heat or from the ground getting saturated, then drying .. i have msp struts on my car with 17inch rims, it is one of the roughest rides with 40 psi in the tires, so i ride at 33psi just not to break my neck...

No no no NJ roads are the worst.
I have actually cracked a rim like in half. On a major highway.

There was this one pot hole. Where I actually saw a car fall into it! It was like a 4" drop. The lady that fell in couldn't get back out afterwards. I really should have taken a picture.

damn.. thats bad, we only got about 2 footers here and there, but the roads are very very very bumpy..

How hot does a battery warming blanket get? You could just wrap one of those around the washer bottle. It just came to me. I'm a genius! Unless it doesn't work. You'd have to work out the wiring and fuse it.

I've been living in Iowa for the last 10 years. While they aren't the best roads, I've seen worse. I've driven in every state except HI, ME, and VT. The worse pot holes I've seen were in Boston, MA. Just outside a toll booth there was a pot hole as big as a car, it was fairly deep, too. On the flip side, some of the best roads I've seen were in NC.

I'll see if I can get it installed sometime this week. Of course, the weather around here is unseasonably warm (1 C, trending 3-5 C over the week) so I won't be able to vouch for solving frozen sprayers.

What I really want is the spread washer jets instead of our squirt gun style ones. I could probubly pull a set off a mustang or something.

On the subject of spray units, I have tried these in the past:

But I found them to be crap. They are the same company that makes the washer arm units which is why I suspect those might also be crap.
