How can you tell if you need the flash beeing as I bought the car used I fell a hesitation around 3-4k rpms and sometimes a little later in the band that is annoying. the car is at the dealer right now for the flash, subwoofer and "THE CLUNK"

they won't do anything for the clunk,....just accept it and enjoy the best handling FWD production car EVER.

p.s. I had to fight with my dealer for months explaining there was a horrible ecu tuning problem in the car. I even showed them dyno charts with wide band o2 readings....they still denied any form of mazda re-flash, then my motor goes pop and about 2 months later the re-flash is out!!

DON'T EVER SUPPORT A DEALER!!!

EVER!!

Rod .. just cause you have bad dealer experiences doesn't mean that all dealerships are bad. My dealership has been oustanding when it came to anything in regards to my car.

Good, I'm glad to hear it. It's about time dealerships stepped up and took car of someone who makes a multi-thousand dollar investment in their company.

My problems with dealerships extends far beyond my msp problems. Remember, I'e worked at dealerships as a technician and salesman for several years. The dealerships SOLE purpose is to make you pay more then you should. That's it. If you're comfortable with that then I wish you luck. I am too cheap to just hand over money.

Mine's a mixed bag. I got dealer cost plus 10% on skirts for my wife's ES and a 'SPEED lip for my P5. They charged me $67 to match the Sandalwood metallic on the ES skirts and install 'em.

OTOH, we both got the 12,000 mile alignment under warranty at no cost, but the dealer writes it at $122 for Mazda. I can get any FWD car 4-wheel aligned for less than $50 by the best shop in town.

The service and parts managers have bent over backwards for me in a number of areas, so overall, I can't bitch. But, I wouldn't take either car to them for service that wasn't covered under warranty. Too $$$!

wow, I guess I'm just notorious for being rough on cars....my local dealer (former employer) knew me when I bought the car...I drove my supercharger contour svt up to the dealership...then my 13s N2o powered SHO to work...I think they knew I was rough on the car and wanted me to eat it out of pocket...wasn't going to happen though.

Glad to hear not everyone is treated so harshly.
