Which egine do I have?

I have a 2002 ES/DX sedan and I can't tell which engine I have, 1.8 or 2.0. Is there something on the door tag or vin # that indicates which one I have?

check directly on the cam shaft cover.... it usually states which litre engine you'd have

If I remember right, '02+ came w/ 2.0 only...

I looked on the camshaft cover and all it says is, "DOHC 16 valve" and "Mazda". Is the 2.0 the 130hp model?

yes, base 2.0 is 130HP model, the "mp3" is the 140hp model.

it's a 2.0L..the 1.8L stopped production in '00

just a question... the BP1800 turbo engne is off the 3rd gens???
