crash with a bookshelf!

I went on a fishing trip over the weekend and came back to find my wife had crashed the LX into a bookshelf. She actually clipped the side of it, she was following someone really close behind made to pass and suddenly she saw a bookshelf in the lane she was heading for! She clipped the front bumper, knocking it loose and putting a good size hole in it. Also took out the plastic piece in the wheel well. I'm guessing the the bumper is a total loss nad will have to be replaced (I'll look at some aftermarket designs and see what's out there.) For now though I'm more worried about the wheel well. Any idea how much this is goign to cost? I think that the plastic piece under the engine was also ripped off. After look at the engine adn such, that all seems to be ok, no leaks or dents that I can see. The wheel also is surprisingly in good shape.
Anyway with a $500 deductable, I might just take a shot on fixing some of this on my own depending on what it'll cost me. so any ideas would be helpful.

ive yet to tinker with the pro5 wheelwell, but ive done some
work on my other cars (to take out intake resonator, etc) and
found that the lining is a very flexible piece so you may just
be missing a few clips and may just drape back into its place
after u get more clips.

its not something that could 'break' unless its visibly torn.

the places were the pieces were held on to are ripped out, ie the clips are still in the wheel well but the peice isn't. I should have some pics today or tomorrow to show you.

you should yell at her for tailgating. its such a pain in the *** knowing if you have to slam on the brakes to avoid something you'll get rear ended

no, tail gaters cant avoid rear ending someone in an emergency situation

If ya ask me, if a bookshelf was sticking out far enough to be hit, its the other drivers fault for not having one of those red flags on it.

The bookshelf was laying in the left lane of the road.

even better, blame it on the department of transportation for not cleaning up their roads.

Anyone know the name/number of the part that is missing in the wheel well?
