Cold as Hell

I was wondering if anyone out there knows the easiest way to approach fixing the heater vent hoses. The heater works fine but all of the hot air just floats out on the passenger side. I was hoping that someone would have a diagram of how the vent hoses should run.

what year/model car do you have?

and this may sound silly....but you KNOW that the outlet vents have a control on them that allows you to CLOSE an individual vent off......right? are they all open?
