Question car bra for p5

hi, just wondering, other than the magnet bra, are there any other good low-profile sport bras available for the p5? thanks!

there is always the factory one....just one precaution there though....although it fits very nicely....its a regular bra...and I wouldn't recommend ANY bra for daily driving unless you will remove it every couple days and clean under it....especially where the fogs are....lots of dirt and grit will get in there and fall in behind the bra and will end up trapped between the bra and the bottom edge of the front end...and sit there and eat away at it like sandpaper if not cleaned out on a VERY regular basis...

I have one of these bras...but only use it for long highway trips to guard against rock chips....and I do clean it as mentioned above.

I have seen one other bra at www.jcwhitney.com

I have the magnetic bra and I like it. I usually clean under it every week or two when I wash my car. At first I took it off almost every day to clean under it. There was a little dirt at first but once the bra molded to fit the contours completely there was never dirt so I stopped cleaning it so often. The bra has saved my hood from a few chips. Whenever I take it off and clean it I see little dings in the bra from rocks. I did get one chip about an inch past the bra but that was before I even got the bra.

Ian, I have the factory bra but I only use the hood piece for everyday driving. (Also my car doesn't go but maybe a week between washes?) You have to be careful like Sir N said, but I like the look of just having the hood piece??? Good luck

Exactly what Sir Nuke said. Personal experience with a previous car. I will never ever buy another fabric type for a car again.

I personally like some of the acrylic hood deflectors or the magnet type bra. My 2 cents.

I also have the factory bra. I used the full setup but decided to take off the front part. Now I only use the hood portion of the bra. I started to notcie one tiny spot where the front portion of the bra was wearing into the paint. It's not very noticeable but any longer and I would have more of these. I still plan on getting the magnetic bra because it looks better and doesn't let in as much dirt as the factory one. For now I just clean under there often.

Mazda needs to make the hood portion available

Like most others (Honda, Subaru, etc..)

I'd love to have the Mazda OE hood portion only. Does anyone sell this seperate??

Can someone point me to a site with magna-bras?

TIA - Jim

Yeah man i got the full front bra on my P5. Its worked out really good so far, but like Sir Nuke said, you have to clean under it or itll get nasty. I dont ever plan on going with out it, its a real life saver.

Heres a pic so you can see how it looks:

Clear bra

I've been looking into getting a clear bra myself.

Anyone had luck with these?

I know there is some concern with yellowing over time, but I guess they are working on it.

Thanks for pointing that out.

What's up with that web site pegging my CPU at 100% utilization until the browser window is completely closed??? That's freak'n wack.

Thanks man,
Jim
