2003 P5 and fm modulator?

would this device work to hook up an mp3 player to a p5's stock 6 disc HU? I know that you can get other wires for it but they are genarally expensive and I am trying to stay on a christmas budget...

I use the fm modulator from xm on my P5 and it works just fine. Hope that helps.
