2003.5 Gray Mazdaspeed sighting

Was driving home and ran across 2003.5 Mazdaspeed and was wondering if the owner is a member on our site. This the first one I've seen besides at HIN Houston.

Seen in League City, TX

Thursday around 5:00 p.m? Sitting at that long *** stop light at the corner of 518? That was me
I must have been sitting there for I swear 10 minutes!! I was pissed and out the corner of my eye was a blue P5 flying around the Shell station.
I saw you looking
I like that blue paint you guys have. I haven't seen anymore MSP's around Clear Lake. There's a yellow one in Pasadena that I see every morning but that's it.

That was me, your MSP is the first I've seen. I like it! Yesterday I noticed a dent in my fender a big dent, and I'm thinkin I picked it up at Target right before I seen you.
Anyway, how do you like your MSP? I work at League City Body Shop on 518, I was thinkin about ordering your front bumper, but got a few questions. Can you tell if it is possible to mount the P5 Fogs, there are covers over the holes on yours? wonder if the fog mounts are behind them.

Maybe we could meet somewhere, There is supposed to be a meet at San Jac Battleground 20th, 12:00 noon people should be showing up.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there. Dent and all!

Thanks.
Exactly where is League City Body Shop at? I've got a 3G eclipse with a big freakin dent in the door I need fixed. I know how you feel. If it makes you feel any better I didn't notice your dent.

My protege has got it's problems (the hesitation most MSP's have that Mazda "claims" they're working on). The handling is perfect. They did a really good job on the suspension. It could use more power but I can deal with it....for now. I've only had it a month so I'm trying to be easy on it and the hesitation really takes away any judgement about how "*****-out" fast it really is. I don't think any amount of tuning or whatever will make it the baddest, fastest, coolest car out there (according to sport compact car mag it's second best behind that "other car" ), but it is really fun to drive and I'm glad I got it. Few of the msprotege.com guys are making some real progress in the power dept.

As far as the fog lights go, I don't think you'd be able to fit P5 lights in there. The holes in mine are more rectangle/square-ish. Your fog lights look like the ones on the 03 msp's. And honestly I have no clue if there are any brackets back there. I'd be happy to meet up somewhere and you can check and see if they might fit.

League City Body Shop is on 518 across the street from the dollar store. There is a Pink and White 55' chevy on a big poll out front.
We do really good work, we don't take any short cuts like taping everything off. We remove everything that needs to be removed.

Where in League City do you live? I'm down the street from the JSC Credit Union on 270.

Yeah, I like my Mazdaspeed suspension too. I think there are some differences though.

Hope you get this or wasn't planning on going to the meet at San Jac Battleground.
For some reason they leave post on protege5.com for a very long time.

I was getting all happy about the meet, and went back on to see if it was called off, and got really confused. The damn Thread is a year old!!!!!

If you do go because you didn't get this in time, you can kick me in the teeth!

Way to go man!!

My wife drives the eclipse now and she doesn't seem to mind the dent in the door. I'll bring it by when I get ready to get it fixed.

Let me know if you want to meet up and take a look at my bumper.

I live at the Fairways at Southshore almost right across the street from Southshore Harbour. Huge apartment complex..can't miss it.

Have you been on the little road at the back of the parking lot of that big church on 270 (egret bay)?

I go back there everyonce and awhile and spin some tires! It would be a great place to meet. Maybe some time after 6:00 PM, when nobody is there.

There are pics of it that I posted in the scenic/fun roads section!

Let me know something.

Hey what's up. I work in Pasadena in the big white shop on Pine st. and the beltway right before spencer hwy. My car is always out front there.

It was probably an MP3 because MSP's don't come in blue (I could be wrong).

But yesterday going home I saw a blue MP3 on spencer. Never seen it before so it might be the same guy.
I know what you mean about jackholes driving like that. It's almost embarrassing to see it and not to mention dangerous.

I'm cool with us meeting up. Padanky knows when the road where he lives is "clear" so maybe he can tell us when a good time would be. Or we can meet up somewhere else.

Yes, the big Church before the bridge.

It starts clearing out around 6:00. so we could meet some time between 6:00 and 7:00.

Friday sounds good, lets say 6:30!?

Or we can meet at the little car show by the railroad tracks, then leave from there towards the church.

last time I took my car there I got alot of looks, they all kept asking if mine was the one w/ the turbo. So, with ours parked together we should draw alot of attention.

Let me know if that sounds good!

P5RUNNER if you go, take 518 in League city cross Hwy 3, go over the railroad tracks and the car show is on your left. If we aren't there, keep going down 518 to the next big intersection (270) take a left go about a mile down the road and the church is to your left!

If we are at the car show pull in and park as close to us as possible.

My wife and I went to a car show last year there. Bunch of really nice old school cars. The one at the park with the gazebo right?

Sounds fun. Tell me what time and i'll be there. Will we be actually part of the show? I need to vacuum
