**Gemini Reverse Cowl Hood is Done**
 

Some of you may or may not know that i've had a GI thread on msprotege for a while now - - - - - - - -the hood is done!!! Some details to work out on the hood and with Gemini and it should be ready to go.

For those of you who don't know, Gemini makes some seriously nice CF product


the official G/B thread will be up shortly. I do have some pics - hope y'all enjoy. :)

you'll need to register as a vendor if you wish to sell products here. Registration is free until the end of the year after that a fee schedule will be posted. If you don't plan on registering you need to delete the post.

i'm not a vendor, just the guy who set up the G/B.. is that ok, or.....

nope, have to be registered as a vendor to run GB's. Rules is rules...however it is free until the end of year so just shoot over to the vendor section and send Ryan an email letting him know you want to run a GB for some CF hoods. There shouldn't be any problems. We just have to weed out the scammers from the legit people.

What price are we talking about on these hoods with shipping? It looks like a great piece and anything that would vent excess heat from the engine bay is a plus in my book.

with shipping not so sure. Gemini is located in the lowermainland of B.C. (read: vancouver) I've talked to them about shipping in a minimal way. price is straight up fantastic, i even had to make sure with Gemini after getting that prototype done cause i saw the amount of work it took.

10 people - $675 cdn (xe.com==>572.370 USD)

pretty much the same thing......just keep this thread up here, send ryan a pm (boostd7) and check in on it once a day. We're not as hustle-bustle as other forums so you dont have to worry about coming back and finding 10 pages or questions.

oh ok, too steep for my blood. I've seen similar hoods here in the states in the $400-450usd range + shipping...they'd be right at $575shipped.

yah.. too bad the USD is sinking too.. 3 months ago when we started up the GI thread.. it was like 509 Usd for the hood... heh.

yeah US dollar is down but US gas prices keep getting higher and higher!!

the car is gonna be at Importfest on saturday night at canada place :)

i'm sure you can order from gemini direct. but we are getting good.. nay.. really good pricing on this.

I got my hood done finally.. here are some pics :)

That hood is nice looking though....could do without the white mesh though...keep the black theme going...that mesh would be a biatch to keep clean. Just my $0.02.

This website is selling gemini hoods at a good price...check it out....the hoods are awsome. :)

the "v-weave" they have pictured on that site, is not the v-weave. how do i know? I took that picture. no v-weave hood has been made or taken pictures of, yet. that third picture isn't a picture of the hood on the car. it's a sample picture from elsewhere on gemini's site.

the prices are good. not as good as the g/b that's goin on. but it's ok for everyday prices :)

i do find it suspicious however that they are including the "rain guard" or Vent cover as it's known and still reportedly selling it for cheaper than my g/b. I find this hard to believe. i'm going to check up on this.

but just based on the little inconsistencies... it doesn't look good. i want 100% honesty from retailers. not 80%. if they are gonna lie 20% who's gonna say if they won't outright 100% lie.

Talked to gemini and streetunit....gemini confermed they do make the v-weave. if you goto there website he shows it. street unit is getting them at this price because he does a lot of business with him. here in orlando streetunit.com is the #1 shop for speeds. I know cullen and he is %110 honest. He test the majority of the products on his car. I dont blame you for being skeptical but he is legit... :tit:

oh no.. I believe they make the V-weave. I've seen Gemini's V-weave, Marc's showed it to me himself.

My point was that they have not made a reverse cowl hood like mine in V-weave. While the pictures clearly infer that they do. To me.. that is definately not 110% honest, not even 100% honest. see my point?

one other thing i keep forgeting too is that my g/b price about the same as his cost, but in cdn dollars.. so his hood is like 814 cdn. heh heh. i don't feel as.....preterbed now. but he should still fix that business with the pictures....... There will be a V-weave one made soon. THAT I'M 100% SURE OF ;)
