Had my engine start rattling then stopped, then started popping and missing and running like hell....finally threw a P0304

Checked the plug and found this...apparently the entire tip broke off in the cylinder and the engine coughed it up with NO engine damage !!!!

Checked compression to be sure and it is fine....NGK's too ??

 

how old are they? you got lucky!

 

DAMN RIGHT I GOT LUCKY!!!!!....I thought for sure I would get foreign object damage...they only had about 3500 miles on them...cost me a whole $1.98 to fix...

MATTY, you think with the header on there it's leaning out ?????

I doubt it, but my brother in law suggested that might be what casued the failure, and maybe I should use a colder plug

 

nah....the way our cars are tuned we run PIG rich. If anything some leaning out would help keep the plugs clean.

I'd go and replace ALL of the plugs though and inspect them for damage.

 

yah, upon closer inspection the plug tip was all black, not white from leaning...must have been a freak thing

My mazda has been misfiring that i got a P0304 code I changed all the spark plugs and it's still misfiring;there is also a clanking noise than my car has been making. all the coils are good as well... can someone help me?
