i am new to this forum. a buddy of mine has a 03 protege. he wants to mod it, but does not know anything about it. in an attempt to learn some more, i was wondering if someone could help me.

does the jetchips ecu reflash make a difference? and how much hp gain.
any mods worth the $$?
and also any good sites for mods?

your friend should come by this forum himself. There's a wealth of info here and it's all been discussed to death. Try using the "search" feature for all of these questions but it sounds like he needs an overall education of the car, not just a name.
