Question new CAI, but back flow?

I put on a new CAI short ram style. Runs cooler fast throttle and deep growl sounds killer but there is back flow, delay when you hit the gas if you just sit does not do when you move, and when you turn the car off.... ssshpppppssssssshhhh. WTF I take it my exahust cant keep up with the intake? whats up? anyone know?
Thanks in advance, Trav

your new intake does not have baffles so after the throttle bodie closes there is air in the intake tube and it has to escape. It makes the "whoooosh" sound because the air is flowing out the filter. My AEM intake does it and so have all intakes i've ever had. I'm not sure about the delay you speak of. Usually an intake will make it seem more responsive. I get a little suction sound when i hit the throttle.
