ok when i start my car the engine revs to close to 5 grand, after about 30 seconds it droppes to 2 grand and pulsates. goes from 2 grand to 3 grand, back down to 2 grand back upto 3 grand. you get the point. what is this?? also i just changed my clutch, so we had alot of crap un done.

 

Right at startup, without you touching the gas??? JESUS ****! That'll **** up the internals in no time! Does it happen only when the engine is cold, or hot? More info please.

 

5grand as in 5000RPM? wtf the most mine goes up to when its freezing cold is 2800RPM and after about 10 seconds it will drop to 2500RPM and slowly decreases (as engines gets warmer) to 550RPM

 

hey buddy i dont know much but what i would do is disconnect the negative bat and wait about 20 min then try again let the comp reset itself and see if that does anything also is there a check engine or anything MORE INFO

 

yeah i reset the computer and it stopped. but right at start up it would do it, just go right to 5 thousand rpm, i have no idea what it is. lol

 

ouch friend i would call the dealer and ask to talk to a tech tell them everything and what you did maybe they have experienced this in the past and know what the prob is.

 

yeah its not doing it now, since i reset the computer. but if it does it again, im gonna take it to mazda, and see what they think. hopefully it wont do it again. lol

 

that same exact thing happens to me, i wwas wondering if i was the only one, i was gonna post a thread about this
