My first mazda project, lol

Me and Proto2k just got done installing his Injen CAI into his 00 DX......I must say after the fuel maps reset, it had a NICE sound to it.....We didnt run into many problems except having to relocate the coolant resevoir . I wish intake companeis would research their parts a little more. Its nice though, hopefully he will grace us with some pics, as i forgot to take some.

estimated install time was around 2 hours, but we did kinda **** around some too

Bigger intakes for bigger displacement engines lol....i have a 2.4l TC and my intake is 3inch rather than proto's 2inch.....plus my filter is bigger......you wouldnt think the air difference would need to be that great for less than a liter more.

If your Injen CAI came with instructions, which it should have, had it been new from the company... and maybe you had read them.. it says in there, what to do about the coolant reservoir. you have to redrill the bracket to flip it around. if you got it from someone else who didnt have the instructions, you could have asked... and anyone of us (especially me) would have given you the directions from the site i wrote-up a long time ago.
