mp5 to msp

okay...would it be possible to convert the mp5 to a msp enginewise? (turbo and everything). just the engine. the suspension can come later...kindly enumerate parts and approx price...basically i want the msp performance with msp specs...in my pro5! thanks!

also, can i install a turbo (just the turbo parts and intercooler, nothing else) on my stock pro5 and not damage the engine?

It is the exact same engine as any other 2.0L, just with the factory turbo setup. I believe they released the MSP turbo kit...but for the price you might as well go aftermarket and make more power. Also, buying from the dealer what you need...yeah right, dealer prices are sky high. If you are dead set on the MSP turbo setup, I'd recommend searching for a wrecked MSP or finding an upgraded MSP with extras lying around.

Best bet would be to trade in your P5 for a Mazdaspeed. Would cost a lot of $$ to match what the Mazdaspeed is stock. Just my opinion. If you want a great handling, quick and responsive car, then buy one. Don't buy something and try to make it into something it's not. Once again, just my opinion.

I can make more power staying NA than you could with the MSP turbo and intercooler.

if you want a turbo, just buy an aftermarket turbo kit with FMIC. They are much nicer.
