Lag!

I have been noticing alot of lag in my engine at low rpm (IE gettin off the line) it feels like it bogs, then goes

the only engine mod is a custom intake (w/ a piece of **** APC cone filter) mobil1 and redline tranny fluid

could it be the shitty intake? should i get a K&N filter for better flow?

Tough call...I switched my air filter from the Ractive to a K&N and to be honest I didnt notice a difference at all...is the filter clean?
How many kms on your car? Time for some new plugs maybe?

3350 miles on the car and the filter i assume is clean (it's pretty new)

do you have the a/c on by chance?

i know exactly what it is. its that custom intake it makes our cars run super rich killing throtle response i.e. no gusto of the line. your better lweaving it factory until you get a real intake like an injen or aem. your custom intake will kill your maf sensor over time and it will suck.

Uhh..I think you've got it ***-backwards. If anything an intake would lean the situation but the ECU wont allow it...the car dumps major fuel at WOT.
An intake should improve throttle response slightly, be it an Ebay jobbie or an Injen.
I think your problem is elsewhere? Granted I havnt seen your intake...

Yes, you are right, Black. But could an overly rich mixture cause lag as well???

my intake is an APC cone filter stuck to the end of my MAS so it is really short and yea
