first buy cheap ebay intake

second buy a non cai second generation integra intake.

then cut the integra intake here

use this piece to drop the filter down into the fenderwell.
the weather stripping looks like crap but its what i have to have until i can get some good rubber trim to put down. you can also sell the filter and other pipe to someone for a little cash to make up for some that u spent, total out of pocket 100 bucks total.
50 ebay intake(shipped)
45 integra intake(shipped)
5 weather stripping
remember you can get the integra intake cheaper for someone used or any pipe that is similiar to it.

For a even cheaper mod check out www.protege00.com
I did this mod about 8 months ago with no problems to date. A muffler shop should be able to bend an aluminized 2.5 inch pipe, should be very inexpensive and easy.

How about a black foam 'baffle' around the short ram to discourage hot engine air and encourage cold outside from the fenderwell? Or even a hood scoop?
