headers potential

what can i do to get full potential out of new headers, for my 1.6, if i get custom or if finally someone comes out with some?

no pics but it isnt a CAI, its a short ram, i cut off the MAF box from the old factory box and just put it into the stock tubing and bought a rubber reducer that at one end is 2" and goes to 3" which connects to a thick pvc pipe. i had to do some massive sanding and cutting to round off the edges so the filter fits onto the end of the pvc. i didnt know if the thinner 3" pvc would stay together so i got the thicker.

im planning on just getting a REAL CAI or get a custom short ram not made by me, i dunno, what u suggest?

lol well im no expert. but im gonna re make mine from manderal bent exhaust pipe, , and have it dipped maybe. it will be ALOT cheaper, and i like the feeling of doing things myself.

yeah used high temp caliper paint on it, like 3 coats. and the engine baked in on nice.

maybe ill look into the custom from a shop then, im sure itll be cheaper, im not as handy lol

you asked if i painted mne did you just leave yours white?? yeah it will be cheaper. the cai is like 250 for injen, it will maybe cost you 50 bucks from shop.

yea i just left it white, ghetto style....this custom everything is sstarting to look better than i thought, will i still get same results?

If you go to the OBX Racing website they say they have stainless headers for our 1.6L. I was considering getting them for my car but was hoping someone else would do it first so I could find out if the performance increase was worth the price.
