Brullen Exhaust System

I emailed Brullen to find out about their system and this is what Richard Garcia sent me:

Hi Corey, thank you for your interest in our exhaust products. I can give you the specs on the cat back system for the Mazda Protege 5 but I don't have any pictures for you. This system is constructed from 16ga 304 stainless steel. The tubing is 2.25" in diameter and is mandrel bent. The muffler and resonator are straight through design and the seams are welded, not rolled and crimped to ensure a lifetime of performance under the hardest of driving conditions. This system is available in either a quiet or loud version. The system comes standard with a single 4" tip but can be changed to any other size or made into dual tips. All of our products are backed by our lifetime warranty to the original owner. The price on this system is $680.00 US. It takes approximately one week from the time that you place your order to the time that it is shipped out to you. If you have any further questions or would like to place your order for this system you can
contact us via email or at 1-888-BRULLEN. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
Alfredo

The system sounds very nice. I like the fact that I can change the size/style of the tip. $680 seems kinda steep though. I will call some shops to see how much they sell it for. Maybe I can find it for less....

Hmm, sounds just like the Bosal exhaust systems. Except for the price...

I want to see picuters of the muffler. I am not a fan of the style of muffler on the bosal system.

Sounds like it would still be cheaper to buy the bosal and then buy another muffler. Bosal also sells replacement tips. That would change the look quite a bit.

I would agree with buying a different muffler and bosal system. The tip is fine; I am not a fan of the round mufflers. It looks like what all the civics and integras have. I want something a little different. I found a guy locally who does mandrel bending (two actually) so thats what I'm gonna be doing.

This price is in canadian dollars. I talked to Richard at the end of last year and he quoted me this price in $CAD.
So $680 CAD~$425 US
Muffler is same shape as stock on PR5, it's hiding under rear bumper and it has bent tailpipe with big tip. Muffler is BLACK.
I do not have any exhaust system installed, if anyone wonders, but I did my homework.
