i got

mazdaspeed exhaust cam
mazda speed 10.7:1 HC Piston set

what kind of power increase should i expect?
and where can i find an aftermarket head?

Wow, that's quite a bit of green you just dropped there! Since I don't the main diferences between the regular FS and the FSZE engine, it's hard for me to make a guess. I'd say anywhere from 15-25 whp gain unless the ECU doesn't take kindly to the changes. I could be way, way off though.

Since it is obvious that you will have the head off, I would drop it of and have the intake and exhaust blueprinted and get a 5 angle valve job (3 angles on the head and 2 on the valve). With what you have going in to this thing, I would suspect around JSPEC levels if not higher. Definately have your ecu reprogrammed though. Sounds like someone is huntin honda!!

You should be able to take the head to any machine shop and have that done. remember to take the intake and exhaust manifold with you so that you can have it all port matched. Make sure the shop has a flow bench for the best results.

Thumbs up what a coincindence

thanks, and it just so happens that
i just found out yesterday that a friend of a friend works in a machine shop and he said he'll hook me up with a 5-angle valve job and port and polish everything.

also does anyone know where to get other internals that i am looking for-
springs, lifters, steel valves, rods, cam gear.

i am also looking to get a header, but the prices online to me seem to be a little outrageous, i think i could get them cheaper if a shop fabricated some for me, anyone have any ideas.

oh yeah someone mentioned getting something blue-printed while i do this too. i've heard this somewhere before but never looked into it, now i think it might be in my best interest to find out.

i can't wait to get all my stuff in, i'll definately let you all know how it works out

talk to charles at www.teammoonexhaust.com he is looking into making a header for the pr5 and es 2.0 to compliment the catback exhaust they created...tell him joel from herndon, virginia referred you (he might consider doing this and selling it at a better price than most other mfgrs)
