Thumbs down apc header

i called APC today and their header is just a long tube header. it would require you to put a high-flow cat on, custom fit the o2 sensors and custom fit the EGR valve.

At least long-tubes usually make some power. "Shorty" headers don't usually do much. Might be tough to get an APC-equipped car inspected tho.

Also, given APC's reputation for producing cheapo, low-quality products, and the fact that nobody seems to have actually seen this header, it's hard to say if it will be worth a darn. However, I'm willing to give APC the benefit of the doubt until some people have actually purchased and installed these headers.

Does the APC header retain the primary catalyctic convertor????

It's required here on the west coast for the emissions test.

nope it doesn't keep it. its a long tube header that would require special mods to put a cat on it, along with custom egr valve and O2 sensor mounting

i bet the header is yellow or red, w/ leds, and indiglo lettering, and it somehow wont work right unless you put on the 567 apc stickers it will come with. and it must say typr R or GTR on it. APC just wants to you in the and leave you with a poorly designed product.
