I am the owner of a 99 protégé lx with the auto tranny. I was wondering what engine swaps are available for my car. The auto tranny is going to go soon to be replaced with a 5 spd, , so that is not a problem. Im just sick of my engine, its too slow. Are there any heads that I can easily swap onto my block?
Also are there any ecu mods I can do? I am currently running with the S-AFC. But I found that the gain with it is minimal.

 

keep what you've got and turbo it or put the bottle on it! It'll be faster than any engine swap will be.,
