1.6L Dual Overhead Cam, tried a search no results. Anyone can tell me what this is? anything about it?

What are you talking about? There won't be any positive gains from going to a 1.6L in a 3rd gen Protege. Dual overhead cams (DOHC) just means there are intake and exhaust camshafts, as opposed to SOHC (single overhead cam) where one camshaft controls the intake and exhaust flows.

mesx, I've seen your car around here before. It's an LX right? It has the 1.6 engine in it already. We both have practially the same car.

The 1.8 was in the 1999/2000 ES models. 122hp instead of 105hp like we have.
