don't waist your time or money

I had the same problem with my 97 pro, i went to junk yard and bought whole throttle body tit air idle control valve on it and it didn't do jack ****. so just adjust your screw on the throtle body and forget about fixing it. That is waht i did, and cur runs just fine, of curse when i am at the stop lihgt the rpm go up and downform 500 to about 1500(all you might loose is some gas millage)

oh and if you decide to fix it let me know how it went

I took the car to my school shop with the same problem, they told me it probly had something to do with the throttle body and IAC. They didn't get a chance to mess with it at the time, but when I'll bring it in next time they'll get a chance to clean it out, and adjust the idle to spec. If that doesn't fix it, they'll ceck out other psossibilities, but yeah, basiclly it's free car repair, and at least the advanced class is working on it so my car has a better chance of surviving .

I'll post what the progress as they get work t=doen, but I won't have the car tommorrow so the earliest they'll look into it is monday (totally unrelated issue with our 02 camry being in the body shop becasue some ******* hit it parked)

Wait till monday and I'll have some info back.

i think it means positive crank case ventilation?
what it does is it vents excessive pressure from the engine back into the intake of the car
the pressure is build up through blowby

if u where to seal it off the engine wud idle erratic due to excessive pressure

look for a tube on the top of the engine that leads to the intake
