First things first, I did look in the owners manual, but only found the capacity for the Auto, it seems only natural that the capacity for the manual would be right next to it. Next, I searched the board here, then the Protege Faq. Nothing, so, what is the fluid capacity for the G2 manual trans?? Its a 1.8l if that makes a difference.

 

The fluid capacity for the F25M-R mtx is 2.68 lt or 2.83 US qt. I think you fill through the 23 or 24 mm plug on the front of the gearbox . Drain is 23-24mm plug at bottom.
