Believe it or not yeah that is mine and it was working. I was just curious cause every 95 Pro that I've seen has slide button for changing the vents. Mine has buttons... I looked around I think it's from a 626 but the vents don't change. So I took it out since Bruce and I were talking about the relocation of the A/C controls and the wire behind it. The only wire that goes there is the one that controls the heat and yes it resembles a bicycle wire. So I said "Maybe the electronics inside are wrong or something that won't permit the vents from moving" So I opened it and found that. Cleaned it and still the same. That means either one of the 2 plugs that go into the back of that A/C control doesn't have the pins or the motors that change the vents are missing or burnt. I'll keep investigating later.

The thing still works. The buttons slide easier now.

Am I understanding you correctly in saying that that has no lever at all for the vents? And all other Pros do?

well, most systems that use a lever for the selectors actuate the vents with a cable (no motors) ...so perhaps the one that's supposed to go in there has the cable?

True but if I can manage to install the motors that usually are connected to that particular A/C control it should work unless the ducting box (?) is different to a 626 which is most probable

Well, yeah, you could do that. I just thought it was kinda funny that the push button type got put in your car when it actually doesn't work. But, yeah, I guess you could try adapting the motors to make it work instead of going back to the lever.

I originally thought that the button type controls had been put in after the flood when apparently and obviously it was in during the flood. I don't know WHY but hell what's done is done. Anyways I kinda like having that button type controls in there. I don't change the vents. The only time I wish it would work is when I use the defroster after a cold night here in the tropics and the windows get fogged up! Besides that I don't mind.
