ok I have a question for yall, on the inside of the passanger door sill, there is a sticker that gives the make and model and all that stuff, and on mine i noticed under model it says LX, and under that it says Special Edition, any ideas if it's just a misprint, or what it means?????????

 

i have the same problem. my 98 says LX. and the wheels cap says special edition...and when i enter the VIN # in carfax it says DX. i don't know what f.. that mean but i give up trying to figure it out

Mine also, I have a 95 LX and my emblems are in gold color

 

special edition usually stands for the new color for that year

My car color is the Dark Midnight Blue or whatever it is, and it's been on cars before '97, so i dunno..

 

Might be the same color as mine. It looks blue, depending on the light u can see green, on night looks like black or Dark blue.
But, Special Edition got to be something else also.



95 LX / S.E.

 

I've got an '01 LX 2.0L and it also says "Special Edition" on the sticker in the door.

Maybe it's special edition because it has options that come in a package and they just call the package "special edition"? I've got AC, keyless and ABS as the only options.

 

you are propably right. because i have 98 protege dx with all the e.s. options. that why i thought that it was e.s. and that probably why it said special edition
