12v for alarm/door locks

Hi, I just bought a 98 DX and I've wanted one for a long time. Problem was, when I found the perfect one it doesn't have power locks or an alrm. So I'm putting them in myself.

Where will be the best place to hook up for a constant 12v supply for both systems without interfering with anything else.

I'll also soon be installing a cruise, so any hints on that would be appreciated as well!

Thanks,
Ryan

If you want a constant source, no better place than right at the battery.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't taken a good look at it yet, but as I recall, the battery terminal is a huge plastic contraption...where exactly will I connect both items to?

I've never messed with battery connections before. I just buried my Volvo and it had everyhting you could ever want already on it, even if none of it worked half the time!
