Has anyone had problems with the door to the gas cap?

Its a metal pice in the gas tank door that is knocked loose or maybe is no good any more. You will have to have someone hold the lever up while you pry it open. You should have a metal piece on the door that makes it pop out when lever is pulled. You could go to a junk yard and get one for a couple of bucks or i may have an extara laying around i could hook you up with. Let me know

yeah, i had the same problem... all i did was take the metal piece off and bend it in different directions and kept trying different ones until i figured out how to get it to spring the lid open again... it has to meet the body the right way also... i think that is the biggest factor.

See, my problem is the door doesn't lock anymore. I broke the black release pin and so now it doesn't stay shut. Have any of you had to change that? I looked in the shop manual and I will have to go through the trunk to fix it. I don't know if it is even worth it.

I would think its worth it....better than having your fuel door flappin in the wind.....

and a LOT better than seeing it held shut with 200 MPH (duct) TAPE! LOL
