People I need help going right hand

I am going to convert to right-hand drive and I need to know what I need.

Identity_X May-16th-2003 12:48 PM

Why would you do that?

Roach220 May-16th-2003 01:14 PM

Because it is different I havent seen a protege with right drive here in the states.Thats the only reason I need I dont like being like everyone else that why I'm doin a pro And not a honda. And if anyone doesn't like it I really dont give a shit cause I do.

Thanks Gro
Does anyone know where I can get all that. I know Most of it needs to be imported so any ideas

Find someone across the pond that can find the parts you need and send them to you.

You're better off with a JDM front clip.. witha GTX in it.. get the speed and right hand drive you wanted. People do it with integras quite a bit. I don't think right hand drive is very cool at all, I think it's good for over seas, but here.. it's just better to be on the left.

It would be cool to own an authentic right hand drive...but I can't justify spending thousands of dollars converting a $2000 car to right hand drive when it doesn't really do anything for you ;)

But, to answer your question...you'll need a good welder, lots of free time, lots of OEM JDM parts, and a wallet to support it.

Well spending that money on it I think that the car is mine I have no intent of selling it so what ever I spend on it is for me And I have any problem doing so. Why would you spend any money on it at all. Well if I put the motor in it i want that is more then the car worth. So thats what money is for spending.

Roach220 May-18th-2003 07:10 PM

No I think I'll save the postal job until I get a little more disgruntal.

what about those drivers ed cars that have steering wheels, brakes and gas petals on both sides of the car? that'd be the cheapest way to go, and that way, if you have any backseat drivers, they can actually drive for a change, and hey, when you get pulled over with a passenger, they won't know who the fuck to give the ticket to? eh? sounds like a waste of time, more than money, i just couldn't ever see wasting my TIME on something like that. money was meant to be spent, yes, but wasn't meant to be thrown away. hell, i could use some high price toilet paper, mind if i use your money to wipe my ass clean?
peace

I just get the feeling that it's not worth it. Think abou it: you're gonna be spending a ton o' money, a whooole bunch of time, and you won't be able to drive your Pro for several weeks at the least. (And that's if you know exactly what you're gonna do before you start ripping things apart, and you already have all of your new parts ready and waiting to be put in.)

My opinion: it would be cheaper (money and time-wise) to buy a new car with the right-hand setup.
