Need Mechanical / Technical Advice!

I am looking into buying a 323 GTX AWD, and the seller has said that there is the following problems;

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The car, as it stands, does not run reliably. The car
has a problem maintaining oil pressure in the cylinder
head, and only in the cylinder head.
I've replaced the cylinder head (when it ate the first
one), and the block. The block has a new oil pump and
water pump. Block oil pressure is 50-75 PSI, but
cylinder head pressure starts at 25PSI (within spec,
due to a restrictor orifice) but drops to below 10PSI
(out of spec) after about two minutes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and further more;

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Truth is, I don't know what it would take to get rid of the oil pressure problem. I've already replaced every part in the oil system. (pump, block for passages, main bearings for too great a clearance, head for too great a clearance, etc.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What kind of problem am I looking at and how much $$$ to fix? Thanks people!

very difficult to determine without seeing the car. the only suspicion that seems logical would be a gross turbo failure causing the oil to dump through the turbo instead of making it to the head. I'd say this car needs a full JDM pullout to fix its issues...relatively inexpensive, but you may be better off finding a non-nightmare GTX...for a good JDM dropout with turbo your probably looking at 800 or so base, and you'll want to do alot of preventative maintenance, if you can get it dirt cheap and the body's good invest say 2 grand in it for the motor and new parts and have a nice GTX...otherwise id pass

Unless you are very mechanically inclined, which you don't seem to be, why would you consider buying a car with known, potentially major, problems?

Heck, send me you're money! I can dispose of it just as quick if not quicker!
