Long trip maintenance...

didn't know where to post this, but i'm making a long trip (at least for my car) and i've been doing a lot of preventative maintenance and repairs, and i just want to make sure that i've covered all the bases.
i have new: spark plugs, wires, distributor, dist. rotor, new front and back brakes as well as rotors all around, new rear shocks, new fuel pump, air filter, fuel filter, intake hose, VAF, front axles, timing belt, alternator belt, powersteering belt, new tires, radiator, front sway bar linkage, and i'm sure there is something else i'm missing, this is all off the top of my head.... is there anything else you could think of that could use replacing? i just don't want to be over 600 miles away from home and stranded on the side of the road. thanks guys
peace

ps. the oil is getting changed before the trip and has about 108,000 miles on it.

How long of a trip are we talking about? I doubt you'd want to chance everything that *can* give out. It seems that you've been doing timely and proper mainanance and that's what really matters. If you haven't check out this thread I posted a few weeks ago. It might give you a few ideas....

I drove down from Fairbanks, Alaska to Denver, Colorado back in October of 2001 in my '90 4WD Pro... I replaced a lot of the electrical of the vehicle like you have listed (distributer, spark plugs, plug cables, etc) as well as gave it a full liquid change (oil, anti-freeze, transmission fluid). I also replaced a couple of my trans-axles (as they were starting to show good signs of wear). With all that done, a good bath, and some other minor "look" features (I was replacing some side panels and door from a previous accident), I was ready to go.
I traveled nearly 4500 miles total on that trip, went clear down to Phoenix, Arizona and then back up to Denver. My car worked like a charm all the way without any problems. I checked the oil constantly and only had to add a little bit on the journey. The car never broke down nor gave me troubles, but I try to take care of the car as best I can.
I don't know how long you plan on going, but my trip went very well and again I had no problems throughout that 4500 miles. It was a great trip, though... Did it alone so it was an adventure. Have fun with yours!

How far are you going? I took mine to Florida this year with a fresh oil change and my AAA card.

well, this is a 75% city, 25% highway driven car, so i keep it as well maintained as possible cause i'm hard on my car, i'll be very honest on that. this car hasn't driven more than 300 miles in one day, and i'm taking it 650 miles to kentucky from philly, and i'm just wondering if there is any little things that i should be replacing. i mean, by the way everything has been working out for this baby, i'm confident she's going to last a long time. i remember that post, looks like i've done most of what is recommended... i don't have a clutch...however, i had my transmission rebuilt less than 20,000 miles ago i'm guessing. thanks guys.
peace

I'm sure you'll make it just fine for 650 miles. I didn't replace my clutch at the time of my trip I told you all about above, and it was slipping from time to time as it was (very little). Plus, my first day of that 2-week trip was 650 miles easy from Fairbanks, Alaska to Haines, ALaska. I had no problems, and I don't think you will either.
