Locked my keys in my car... HELP!!!!!!!!

Sigh, I locked the keys in my 1st Gen SE. Can someone tell me how to break into it? I don't want to call a locksmith or something cause they might cost too much money. Is there anyway to get inside? Thanks.

Snap into a SLIM JIM!

check a few local car parts stores, they sometimes have rental tools and may even just let you borrow a slim jim.

in the event you don't know what a "slim jim" is...and NO we are not talking about a stick of dried sausage...its a piece or metal to unlock your door....they are usually about a half wide and two feet long....and there is a hook like shape cut into the end of it...and its quite thin...like a piece of strapping material....you slid it down between the window and the weather stripping and "FISH" for the lock rod to the button....once you "CATCH" it you just pull up and presto chango your door is unlocked.

hope that all helps.

its easy to just hit the window with a hammer and reach in and unlock the car.

do YOURSELF a favor.....go to walmart or kmart or a dollar store and have ONE spare made...get one of the blanks that does not have the plastic around the top...so that the entire key is the same thickness.....then put it in your wallet. I can't tell you how many times this has saved me.

This doesn't take age, mainly common sence and a little expirence. I'm Living proof, 18 and only locked myself out of my car once, but the spare was at my house, and this made me think... gee if the spare would have been in my wallet instead of at the house, I could have left one hour ago. (mean while keep another spare at the house in case of extreme stupidity like you happen to lock the wallet in with your keys.
