I finally found a good candidate, and the car is only about 5 miles from where I live. It is a teal '92 LX 5-speed, with really nice interior and exterior. The only minus that I can see right now is that it has about 140K on it. The guy is asking $3000, and we will probably do the deal within two weeks.

yeah talk him down. i got my 93 for 1500 since i got laid off the guy took off 500 from his price. but i kinda knew the guy. but as of the miles if it has been taken care of i wouldnt worry to much about the miles. Mine has 146k on it and running like a champ. low miles dont always mean the car is going to run good. just look the car over really good. and get him to come down on the price.

I hadn't been able to work out a trip to LA so I hadn't talked to the guy you talked to.

At this point, just getting the thing is a big enough step. Though I'm really considering getting MX3 leather seats at some point...

It looks definite that I'm going to get this '92. We're just waiting for this guy to get his tax return money so he can get the money for another car.

Oh yeah, and I'm thinking of getting Canadian seatbelts for it.
